In the first venom movie I saw, Kasady was a Russian mobster that survived World War II. He was shot in the leg and survived, but became a wanted man. He kidnapped a little girl, which lead the cops to a warehouse where he had a chemical that could kill them. However, as they arrived there, the substance displayed some sort of allergic reaction to the cops. This made the cops very angry, so one of them aimed a gun at Kasady's head, only to have it stop working right before it hit him.
After this, the symbiotes escaped and a new menace appeared, but this time, the original Kasady was back and more dangerous than ever. This time he kidnapped the daughter of the CEO of a company, along with his brother and cousin. The daughter was used for reproductive purposes, while her brother and cousin were tortured to death. Finally, when Kasady learned that the cops were going to hunt for the Symbiotes, he made his way to New York City, where he attacked the cops again, killing two of them and injuring another.
As you can see from the synopsis, this movie is based on the symbiotic theory of biogenesis. The movie takes place in modern day New York City, during the height of the cold war, when Russian terrorists, now called Anti-Americans, abducted an American agent. Afterward, they injected the woman with a parasite that would make her immune to pain, but would also make her turn into a monster. The character of Kasady was born from this infection. Once he developed amnesia, he took on the identity of the serial killer known asnick.
The movie will be available for audiences on March 4, 2021, which means that fans will have a long wait until this movie makes its way to the big screen. No specific description has been released yet, though I would expect that it will be starring Spider-Man himself, Tobey Maguire. Maguire is best known for his acting work, not for drawing, so it is likely that he will only have a small role. The producers of the project should take care to make sure that this is the case, because the success of the Spider-Man franchise has been very reliant on the performance of Tobey Maguire.
The producers are trying to establish the character of Kasady as a convincing portrayal of a bad guy, so they need to make sure that he isn't too far from the characters that we have come to know and love from the Marvel comics. If this movie does well at the box office, it could pave the way for a future sequel to the Spider-Man franchise. There have been talks that the character of Electro will appear in the Spider-Man 2 film, though that hasn't been confirmed. We'll have to wait and see.
If the first film was able to bring in record sales and set the box office for the month, the second film will likely do the same. There is buzz that after the release of the second movie, there will be a chance for more spinoff movies about the symbiotes. There are also talks about a possible X-Men film featuring a part about the symbiotes and the villains that they have created. Those are some big expectations, considering that the first film just had to prove that the symbiotes were evil and that was enough for audiences. With the success of the first film, hopefully that will continue for the next few films.
No one really knows what the future holds for the character of the alien symbiote, but we can expect to learn more about him as the films move forward. He was established as a villain in the first film, but he is slowly becoming more humanized throughout the other movies. In some ways, he even becomes an actual character in the Spider-Man franchise now. That will continue to fuel the popularity of this character and the different elements that have come from his appearance in the comics and other media.
The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe looks great and is well worth waiting for. Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to open in theaters in 3 months and the other movies should start shooting in the next year or so. While it may be a while before we actually see any of the characters, there is no doubt that the character has become a beloved one in the eyes of many fans. If the fan base gets to enjoy his time on the big screen, there is no telling what kind of impact the franchise will have in the future. The alien symbiote is set to be the central character in the next Spider-Man movie, and it will be interesting to see how that character is integrated into the Spider-Man universe moving forward. I think it is safe to say that the character is here to stay.
